All applications will be reviewed to see whether the presented solution

answers our key innovation question “How can we make optimal use of the transport capacity and connection points to the electricity grid?”
shows a significant impact on the available grid capacity / the required connection points
represents an innovative solution in the energy industry that differs from existing solutions of competitors
is economically viable (e.g., the solution can be implemented and scaled up in the market within a reasonable period of time and at reasonable costs and efforts)
is (technically) feasible (e.g., critical assets, resources and / or capabilities are in place) and
is presented in a convincing and inspiring manner to the audience.

The big reveal
on 6 July

Everybody is invited to join the revealing event. The jury will share feedback on the three solutions, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from other organisations, players in the energy industry and other TenneT and DSO colleagues.

Test and scale proposals
11 April - 30 June

The three chosen teams of participants will each receive € 10.000 to bring their solution to the next level, as well as coaching sessions from TenneT and/ or DSO experts.

Pitches and deep dives
on 4/5 April

Five teams of participants will be invited to a deep-dive event:

Day 1: Deep dives with experts and time to elaborate on solutions and bring these to the next level.

Day 2: Final pitches and selection, with three of the five teams of participants being invited to the next phase.

Announcement of
the five selected ideas
on 27 March

Experts will select their preferred ideas / proposals based upon our selection criteria.

Submit proposals
by 10 March

Every team of participants needs to upload their idea / solution by sending in a pitch video and supporting information.

Kick-off event
on 16 February

This kick-off event offers information and inspiration, and the opportunity to meet other stakeholders – energy industry players, like Distribution System Operators - as well as TenneT colleagues.
